Goddess of prosperity and abundance

A presence associated with prosperity, grace and auspicious beginnings.

Maa Lakshmi is traditionally worshipped as the goddess of wealth, abundance and well-being, but her imagery carries a deeper idea of prosperity — one that includes harmony, generosity and balance.

Often shown seated or standing on a lotus, she is closely associated with purity and the unfolding of good fortune. The lotus also reinforces the idea of remaining untouched and centred even while living within the material world.

In this composition, Lakshmi is not simply a symbol of wealth, but of abundance in its fuller sense — prosperity, beauty, stability and grace.
